Commercial Growing Applications for Soil Moist

Overview

Soil Moist polymer granular is a soil amendment designed to:

  • reduce plant waterings by 50%**,
  • reduce transplant shock and soil compaction,
  • remain effective in the soil for 3-5 years.**

It is an inexpensive form of insurance for the plant and is environmentally friendly. Soil Moist saves time, labor and plant loss.

Note: Soil Moist must be incorporated into the soil at the root level of the plant/green good. Do not top dress or place on the surface.
** Results may vary depending on soil conditions such as salt, pH, microorganisms, u-v light

Soil Moist Plus is a water storing granular polymer and a 7-7-7, 8-9 month timed release fertilizer.

Soil Moist Hydro is a "sugar" grade size polymer used for plugs, minicells and small seed trays.

Soil Moist Fines is a "powder" grade size polymer used for bare root seedlings and trees, plugs, minicells and small seed trays.

Soil Moist Spikes are water storing polymer and also available with a 3-4 month, 5-5-5 timed release fertilizer. These spikes are for existing containers and are easy to install by simply pushing the spikes into the soil.

Soil Moist Disks contain water storing polymer and a 10-10-10, 8-9 month timed release fertilizer in an easy to use disk form. Two sizes of the disks are available: one and two inch disks.

Soil Moist Mats polymer crystals woven into a cloth material. Ideal for hanging baskets and containers. No measuring.

All of these products are ideal for containers, baskets, flower beds, window boxes, deck plants and vegetables. Various package sizes available in both retail and commercial packaging.

Benefits

  • Reduces plant watering by 50%**
  • Saves time and labor with less watering
  • Maintains vigorous plants
  • Minimizes transplant shock due to moisture loss
  • Reduces soil compaction
  • Cost effective - lasts 3 - 5 years.**
  • (Soil Moist Plus): Water retention polymer and timed release fertilizer

Greenhouse & Nursery

(1000-2000 microns) To use as soil amendment, mix two pounds of SOIL MOIST per cubic yard of soil. Make sure the polymer is thoroughly mixed for even disbursement. Use two pounds of SOIL MOIST FINES (powder-type) or HYDRO (sugar-type) per cubic yard of soil for mini-cells and small containers. Best results in mixing are achieved when SOIL MOIST and SOIL MOIST FINES or HYDRO are incorporated into the soil in the dry crystal form. Allow for expansion of the polymer in the container. Soil Moist plant Spikes and Disks can also be used. The Spikes and Disks are ideal for existing containers and baskets. Interiorscapers use the Spikes to reduce waterings and labor.
